On the Piani dei Montiòli, in the municipality of Sarnano, there is one of the most popular hang-gliding and paragliding flight sites in Italy. Thanks to the particular shape of the mountain range, in fact, the currents are favorable all year round and the landing points are easy to reach even for beginners. In Sarnano you can do it even if you have never flown before: thanks to the flight school of the Sibillini Aeroclub, in fact, it is possible to practice tandem flights accompanied by qualified instructors. If, however, you are an expert pilot, you can test yourself over long distances, because the Sarnano flight site extends for approximately 40 km and touches several neighboring areas, from the Lake Borgiano area to Monte Vettore.
