PROFILE
Rustic local winery situated in Loro Piceno.
This family is known for their warm welcome and for the “Vino Cotto”.
Vino cotto is a sweet and strong wine, with a color varying from red to amber red with a tendency to hazelnut shades, clear and a fruity scent, with a flavor in perfect balance between acidity and sweetness, has an alcohol content ranging from 12% to 14% depending on the type of aging, and is obtained by boiling the must of various types of grapes (not to be confused with the typical Apulian cooked wine which is instead obtained from fresh must).
Generally cooked wine was consumed as a normal table wine, now it is more often referred to as dessert wine, it can be drunk accompanied by dry biscuits or donuts, drunk together with pieces of peach, it is also used in the preparation of desserts, famous are cooked wine hiscotts, or in the kitchen to flavor meats or jams.
Also great to try their Sapa.
