From September 13 to 15 in San Benedetto del Tronto, at Piazza Giorgini, ‘Let’s Marche-Gelato Edition’ will take place. The ice cream festival in the square in the name of excellence and typical products of the Marche, is an event organized by the Italian Association of Ice Cream Makers (Aig) together with Confesercenti Marche, with the contribution of Atim and the patronage of the national Fiepet Confesercenti.
Three days dedicated to Italian artisan ice cream with tastings, entertainment, conferences and workshops on the themes of ‘Experiential tourism as an added value for the economy of the territory’, on the ‘Agricultural supply chain, traceability and sustainability as an enhancement of typical products’ and a focus on the importance of nutrition and nutritional values of Italian artisanal ice cream.
In addition to the presence of representatives of local institutions, Sandro Assenti president of Confesercenti Marche, Elena Capriotti, director of Confesercenti Marche and Claudio Pica, vice president of the Vicar of Fiepet-Confesercenti and secretary general of the Italian Ice Cream Gelapers.
Also present are prestigious master ice cream makers such as the world ice cream champions, Eugenio Morrone and Rosario Nicodemo, and Cristian Monaco Ambassador of Italian ice cream in the world.
‘Let’s Marche-Gelato Edition’ will also be the scenario in which the ‘Riviera delle Palme’ competition will take place, where the ice cream makers will compete in the creation of a new taste using the typical products of the Marche, and valid for the qualification stage for the final stages of the Italian Ice Cream Cup 2024, which has reached its III edition this year. The first two classified will access the final phase of the Italian Ice Cream Cup 2024 scheduled for November at the Olimpio Stadium in Rome, and the first ice cream maker will participate in the final of the ‘Ice Cream of the Year’ competition to be held at the Sigep in Rimini in 2025.
