PROFILE
The company takes its name from the Buscareto family that, of Ghibelline faith, disappears around the fifteenth century for having rebelled against the Holy Roman Church. Today the Verdicchio di punta is dedicated to the family progenitor, namely Ammazzaconte Buscareto. In the third millennium, the new company was born thanks to the meeting of two computer engineers, Enrico Giacomelli and Claudio Gabellini, both wine lovers. The two invest a lot to modernize the entire wine sector.
Today the agricultural estate comprises over 100 hectares, of which 70 vineyards, divided into three plots: Ripalta d’Arcevia, on the north side of the Esino valley, dedicated entirely to Verdicchio; Lacrima, located in Contrada Sant’Amico di Morro d’Alba; Pianello, where the company is located. In addition to wine production, that of extra virgin olive oil is also carried out. In recent years, several problems related to climatic conditions are emerging. The flagship wine, the Ammazzaconte, was in fact not produced in both 2011 and 2012. The Tyche, dedicated to the Greek personification of fortune, was not released in 2014 and will no longer be produced.
The company owns many vines. Among the most important are Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Verdicchio and Lacrima.
