PROFILE
Davide and Stefano Dezi
The story of the Dezi family wine growing began with Romolo and Remo, no, not the sons of the famous queen Silvia, but two simple farmers sons born and raised in Servigliano.
They lived together in a house. Romolo married and shortly thereafter brought two sons into the world: us, David and Stefano.
We were determined that with collectiv effort we would change our history.
The story
The story of the Dezi family wine growing began with Romolo and Remo, no, not the sons of the famous queen Silvia, but two simple farmers sons born and raised in Servigliano.
They lived together in a house. Romolo married and shortly thereafter brought two sons into the world: us, David and Stefano. We were determined that with collectiv effort we would change our history.
Through hard work and passion, in the vineyards and the wine cellars we transformed a relatively small family winery into a winery producing wine of the finest quality.
Romolo and Remo began initially with mixed emotions. However despite the pressure to counteract the economic collapse, they did not let their uncertainty show. One look into their eyes was all it took to see their undying will to stay on their path.
The two “old Timers” taught us to keep our composure in critical moments. They always supported and encouraged us and shared with us their wisdom: “If you are in harmony with nature, take care of her and never neglect her, then she will be good to you.”
Our spirit and respect for nature has since been rewarded. We have won the title “Best wine grower of the year” in “Vini d ´Italia”. We also especially rewarded ourselves with our two wines “Solo”, a Sangiovese, and “Regina del Bosco”, a pure Montepulciano.
We have both the soil quality and wonderful location to thank for the goodness of our wine. This is the reason that for years our label has read “Contrada Fontemaggio, Servigliano”.
