PROFILE
The Brachetti family descends from an ancient family in the Marches, originally from Veneto. After a long experience in other prestigious commercial sectors, which allowed him to create works and infrastructures among the most important in Europe, Count Aldo Brachetti Peretti decided to resume the family’s winemaking traditions.
The return to the homeland where the family inherited agricultural land, is the beginning of the history of Il Pollenza. The estate is expanded over time with new land and the construction of villas for the family, enriching one of the most beautiful countryside in Italy, the ideal place for an avant-garde cellar, today known and appreciated for the quality of the wines produced.
Since 1997 the famous winemaker Giacomo Tachis becomes a consultant and collaborator of the winery and will remain the reference not only for wine production, but also for the senishment of the cellar, until 2007, when he will be succeeded by another illustrious winemaker, Carlo Ferrini. The cellar will be built technologically at the forefront with temperature-controlled cement ferments and a barricay built under the winemaking room.
