A Woodpece, a sacred animal on Mars, led a people to the banks of the Tronto River. The Piceni, an ancient Italic people, were a great expression of civilization that flourished during the Iron Age. Today’s province of Ascoli is the heart of this people who expressed a civilization, seven centuries of piceni that led this culture to dominate in the heart of Europe.

The Tenuta De Angelis has its origins in this territory, the piceno, in the 50s the De Angelis family created the first winery for the vinification of its grapes and other local producers. These are years of intense work, new vineyards have been planted in the municipalities of Offida, Castel di Lama. In 1985 a new cellar was built to complete the production chain from the vineyard to the bottle.

The manual harvest of grapes is diversified within the vineyards themselves according to the wine project that will have to be carried out; winemaking also complies with the rules for the production of organic wines and everything is certified not only by us but also by a third party body the CCPB of Bologna.
