The goal in the Winery is to have high quality red wines, important and enjoyable but with a correct and balanced market positioning. The goal is achieved thanks to the presence of modern technology, the use of automatic temperature control and a fair production scale.
The barrels used are made of Slavonian oak but above all French (Allier), as well as barriques.
The vineyard area of the Acquaviva Picena Winery is 580 hectares of which 400 are those of Rosso Piceno Superiore. The cultivated red grapes are those typical of the Piceno Superiore originating from central Italy: Montepulciano and Sangiovese. Also interesting is the production of the Falerio dei Colli Ascolani DOC and, above all, the purity recovery of two typical Marche grape varieties: Pecorino and Passerina.
The immediately high hill already a short distance from the coast means that an ideal situation for red wines is created in the vineyards, thanks to the beneficial influence of the proximity of the sea but in positions and situations protected by the hilly slope. The altitude of the hills is between 200 and 400 meters above sea level.
