Located in the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains at an altitude of more than 1000 m above sea level, which makes it the highest municipality in the Marche. In the territory there are the sources of the Fiastrone river and the Monte Rotondo, under the summit of which the inaccessible forra dell’Acquasanta opens, with the natural waterfall of the same name.

At an altitude of 1340 m above sea level, and 4.7 km from the center of the village, is located the only fraction of Pintura, born as a tourist center and developed around the sloplifts.
