PROFILE
The villa that stands in the center of the Colpaola Estate contains half a century of history and matelicese pride.
Until 2003 it was owned by Marcello Boldrini. He was Enrico Mattei’s successor to the presidency of ENI until 1967.
Today the property belongs to the Porcarelli family. In 2007 Stefania and Francesco planted their first vines, thus crowning their dream of living in a vineyard.
The peculiarities that allow the Verdicchio di Matelica to have these characteristics are the pedoclimatic conditions, since the valley of Matelica called Sinclinale Camerte is the only one in all the Marche that runs parallel to the sea.
This geographical aspect determines a continental microclimate as it is not affected by air currents from the Adriatic Sea.
