Profile
San Ginesio, a town in the province of Macerata with a territory of 78 square kilometers, with its wide panorama of the suggestive land of the Marche and so rich in monumental architecture sits on the Piceno at 690 meters above sea level in front of the Sibillini Mountains.
The country, as a testimony to a perfect preservation, boasts national brands of environmental tourist quality: it is one of “I Borghi più Belli d’Italia”, it is “Orange Flag” of the Italian Touring Club, it is “Common Friend of Itinerante Tourism”, it is “” Yellow Flag” of the A.C.T.Italy and has a Camper Stop Area of Excellence.
In San Ginesio the most genuine culinary traditions are intact: homemade pasta, cold cuts, cheeses, bread, honey and natural desserts, the “San Ginesio doc” wine are the specialties of the place, not to mention the “Polentone di San Ginesio”, a typical dish and now unique in the territory because it is produced with forty corn flour almost impossible to find elsewhere.
